About WIMA Luxembourg
WIMA Luxembourg was founded in 2019 by Ann Kathrine Kayser Hansen, the Luxembourg Ambassador for WRWR (Women Riders World Relay). The division was granted WIMA status based on the amazing work done by Ann Kathrine during WRWR.

Ann Kathrine says “The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg sits between Belgium, Germany and France and is brimming with beautiful twisty roads in mint condition. It attracts riders from all over Europe and although we are a Lilliput nation, you will not be disappointed by the beauty of our country and the hospitality of the WIMA ladies here. We work closely with our WIMA sisters in Belgium and have so much we want to share with you whether you want to join WIMA Luxembourg or if you are just passing through, so don’t hesitate to get in touch.”
Shortly after WIMA Luxembourg started, Covid struck and all activities came to a halt. But the photos will give you an idea of the energy and enthusiasm of the Luxembourg women.

Ann Kathrine Kayser Hansen, Founder and President
Originally from Denmark, Ann Kathrine has lived and worked in Luxembourg for over 30 years. She works for a multi- cultural international organisation and speaks numerous languages fluently. She was fascinated by motorcycles from a young age but she was 47 by the time she got her licence and got on the road on her own bike – a journey only briefly interrupted by breast cancer.
She says “Getting involved in the organisation of the WRWR Luxembourg leg, fuelled my passion even further and gave me the opportunity to raise awareness of female riders within the Grand-Duchy and across the globe via social media. I have met many extraordinary women riders (even if percentage wise, in Luxembourg we are still below 15%). These women are currently scattered across various smaller local, often Facebook-based groups, and I do hope that WIMA Luxembourg will become a great asset and pull together and further promote the female motorcycle community within the country. COVID-19 put the brakes on our growth but the future looks bright.”
Ann Kathrine is a passionate rider and strong believer in international sisterhood where we all support each other and she has great plans for WIMA Luxembourg for the future.
