About WIMA Bulgaria
WIMA Bulgaria was initially set up in 2015 after Violeta Ivanova travelled to the international WIMA rally in Sweden but the division has had a slow start as Violeta unexpectedly had to move to France. After 6 years she is back in Bulgaria and more motivated than ever.
In WIMA Bulgaria, our aim is to provide women riders with knowledge, skills, a supportive environment of like-minded friends and meaningful causes. And, of course, to build a network of female riders around the world, that is the main advantage for our members here. To date WIMA Bulgaria has 24 members and we are growing daily. We have a lot of activities planned, such as training days and celebration of International WIMA Day and International Female Ride Day. This year, Bulgaria will take a part in Pétrolettes Rally for the first time – and WIMA Bulgaria is the leading organisation for it.
Our slogan is “We can”, because in Bulgarian, the abbreviation WIMA is МОЖЕМ and the meaning is a wordplay of “we can”.

As a WIMA leader in Bulgaria my role is to inspire and unite women riders, to support them in any way and to be part of the team. Of course, my ongoing attempt to ride around the world solo on a Harley-Davidson is a great help in this work. I have ridden on four continents so far, Europe, Asia, Australia and South America, and more than 30,000 km. During my adventures I have met great female riders around the world, and I am more than ever passionate about women empowerment through motorcycles, which was my main motivation for starting this tour. During my world tour I met WIMA members in UAE, India, Malaysia and Australia. In addition, I was in touch with female riders from Nepal, Mexico and Canada before there were WIMA divisions there, so I felt like a real WIMA ambassador!
