WIMA committee and members were very sorry to learn that Janet Cox, the very first recipient of our Ellen Pfeiffer Award, died in January 2025.
The full obituary of her amazing and inspirational life by her friends, former WIMA International President, Sheonagh Ravensdale and Chairman of the BMF, Jim Freeman can be read here.
The Ellen Pfeiffer Award was established in 2004 to honour WIMA members for their outstanding contributions to WIMA, women and motorcycling.
It was agreed at the time that “Janet should be the first recipient for her courage and determination to live life to the full. She inspired us all.”
Janet was indeed a worthy recipient of the Ellen Pfeiffer Award. Dear Janet, We miss you – RIP. (Sheonagh & Jim 2025)
