1986 West Germany, Vogelsberg, 28 July-1 August

WIMAs explored the Vogelsberg hills – treasure hunts, rugged trails, campsite chaos, and laughter-filled nights at Falltorhaus – friendship, determination, and adventure shining as WIMAs blazed trails through 1986!

This rally was organised by Elke Maria Löhnerz and Ulrike from Marburg, helped by women from the Hexenring.

Elke Maria told us that a treasure hunt was organized across the low mountain range with marshals and visits. The final dinner took place in Betzenrod. Apart from Germans, there were also Swiss women at the rally. Elke added that they used the Falltorhaus, a meeting place for motorcyclists with a campground and dormitory near Schotten im Vogelsberg. She said that back then there were not that many women at a WIMA rally.

Ulrike Buschmann was the overall winner, but despite extensive research, we’ve been unable to find any more information about this rally. However, Elke was presented with a Certificate with an inscription which translates as:

‘Elke did a great job setting up the tent and then held out till the end of WIMA ‘86 at Vogelsberg. For this she is presented this certificate with a picture. The WIMA organization Germany’
